I also sell internationally as well as to the United Kingdom. I have sent a knitted shoulder bag to Tucson Arizona USA and a crochet throw to Tasmania Australia.
I make bags, purses, gadget cases and home wares. I find good quality material and remnants in markets, charity shops and buy new fabrics. I just get what I need for a particular project at a time.
I first started making bags when a favourite pink wool cardigan with two front pockets and wool covered buttons had shrunken in the wash and rather than throw it out I made it into a bag. My family and friends loved it from there on I started making more bags, knitted and crocheted and throws, cushions and a knitted rug. I have always loved being creative and making things.
I attended evening classes in drawing and painting and art and design. I found especially useful learning about colour combinations with complimentary and opposites and incorporate these into my work.
